'MARKETPLACE ON MORRISSEY' IS LATEST GROSSMAN COMPANIES PROJECT
Upscale 16,000 s/f Plaza to Open in Fall ‘07
NOVEMBER 2006 — The Grossman Companies, Inc. of Quincy (Mass.), through its Private Equity Group, has closed on a commercial parcel in the Neponset section of Boston and has begun initial site preparation for its planned ‘Marketplace on Morrissey’ on the site of a former Burger King. The 16,000 square-foot upscale destination commercial plaza at 960 Morrissey Blvd., is slated for occupancy in Fall 2007.
Located just off the Southeast Expressway (Rte. 3 / 93) on a popular route to and from downtown Boston, approximately 38,000 vehicles pass in front of the site during the inbound commute. “It’s ideal for a wide range of retail and service-oriented tenants. The area’s population and income demographics are ideal.” says exclusive broker Richard McKinnon. He expects to have the space fully leased over the next several months. The space is subdividable.
The site is near several well-known landmarks including Phillips Candy House, Lambert’s Market, Ramada Inn and Comfort Inn, among others. Potentially, the site can accommodate two drive-through tenants, McKinnon says.
Grossman Companies’ Director of Finance and Acquisitions Dana Wolfe says plans for the plaza have won approval from local community groups and the Boston Redevelopment Authority.
The Grossman Companies, Inc., as exclusive agent, offers a full range of brokerage services, with a focus on sales and leasing of commercial property throughout New England. For more information, contact Richard McKinnon at 617-472-2000, or richmck@grossmanco.com.
